Please Note: Assistance for disabled travellers flying into the UK can be booked through the airline.
It is important to plan your time in the airport. If you are a passenger who has difficulty walking, assistance may be necessary and extra time may have to be allowed between the departure lounge and your gate.
Passengers should check if the cost of special assistance is included in the price of their ticket before booking, and inform the airline in good time of any special needs that will be required.
If you require wheelchair assistance from check-in, ensure that you advise your airline or travel agent when making your booking.
Passengers with disabilities can use airport wheelchairs throughout terminal building. Passengers wishing to retain their own wheelchairs up until boarding should check the policy of their airline before travelling.
There are fully equipped toilets are available in all areas of the terminal building.
Guide and hearing dogs are the only dogs allowed in the terminal buildings.
An ambulift is available to provide access to and from the aircraft for passengers with impaired mobility, however, passengers that need to use this facility must inform airport staff as soon as possible so that the equipment can be ready. Contact the airline you are travelling with for more information. |
