Flight Seats For Children ... |
|
|
|
|
|
| In advance of travel, when travelling with young children, check with your airline what their policy is for seat allocation for babies, toddlers and children. It is best to check, as with most airlines offering their bulkhead seats to families - located at the start of each cabin section as these seats have some facilities for children- it maybe you are provided for. However some airlines allocate these special seats on a first come first served basis, especially if there are limited cabin sections. |

Flying Made Easier with Young Children... |

Needless to say you need to make sure you leave plenty of time (and we mean plenty) for getting to the airport. It can take a long time getting out of the house, and it will take even longer when you have children in tow, and suitcases. Our advice is to plan the time you think you will need and then add at least half an hour extra.
If you give yourself plenty of time you won't get stressed, and then neither will your family. A perfect start to your perfect holiday.
When travelling with children, it is well worth planning the route to Luton Airport so you know exactly where you are going. And make sure that you have an alternative route planned, or at the very least a map in the car, in case of road works or blocks.

Flying Made Easier With Young Children & Babies ... |
|

Here's some great advice when flying with children and flying with babies. By pre-booking your airport parking you know that when you arrive at the Airport (especially if you are running a little late) that you know where to go and what to do.
There are a variety of options for car parking at Luton Airport - made ideal when travelling with young children. The most ideal being a meet and greet parking service. It's the ultimate in stress-free parking, leaving you and your family with bags of time, and leaving you able to head straight to check-in from the Airport Terminal.
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3 - simply drive to the Airport, following the signs for your departing airport terminal. Once parked right outside the airport terminal you will meet your meet and greet parking Rep. You and your family go straight into the airport with your baggage for check-in, your car is taken away to a safe and secure car park. On your return, your car is ready and waiting for you right outside the airport terminal, along with your helpful Rep with your keys.
When you're checking in be sure to ask if there are any empty seats on the flight, and if so, if you and your family can be seated by them. These empty seats will allow your children to spread out (and also use them as beds to get some shut eye).
Once in the boarding gate you will be asked, as travelling with young children or flying with babies, to board first. We advise you take the airline up on this as you will have more time with the cabin crew in the event of any queries.
So, it's as easy as child's play. Careful and easy planning, when travelling with young children or flying with babies is stress-free with our simple children's departures guide. |

Where To Buy Baby Foods When On Holiday ... |
|
|

|
|
If you, like many other travelling parents, are worried about travelling overseas with a baby or young toddler then read this guide. It provides advice and information on how and where formula and baby foods can be bought. Also, make sure you read the information on Safe Water For Babies.
It's best, for emergencies and such like to pack baby foods in your baggage so you have a supply as soon as you land. This is so you can arrive safely at your destination and get settled before rushing off out in a blind panic trying to find formula. If you have a young baby also pack a couple of cartons of the instance, ready made milk.
Safe Water For Babies
Never give your baby or toddler water to drink from the tap when overseas. By giving your baby tap water will upset their delicate tummy, and can be dangerous for them.
You need to find a bottled water that
has less than 30 Na of sodium - the label on the bottle will tell you this information - water varieties are readily available in supermarkets. If you’re travelling to Spain many of their pharmacies sell specially distilled water for babies that you may prefer to use.
Instant Milk Powder
Powdered baby milk is readily available in Europe but you will need to go to a pharmacy to purchase it. Similar brands are available but aren't called the same as they are in the UK. Cow & Gate in Spain for instance is called Almiron. For more information about buying your particular brand of milk overseas you should call the telephone advice line on the pack of your milk packet.
Buying Jarred Baby Foods
Families visiting Europe will find it easy to buy baby food in jars. Hero is a popular baby food in Spain and across Europe. Hipp is also readily available, so are products from Nestle. Local supermarkets, although if you are somewhere remote then try a larger main supermarket, should all stock a good selection of baby foods and snacks. As will most pharmacies.
Buying Nappies
Buying nappies abroad is very easy. Just try any local supermarket where both main brands such as Huggies and Pampers are readily available. Do note that in many European Countries cotton nappies are difficult to find, particularly in Spain, so if you normally use re-useable nappies consider using disposables just whilst you're away.
